Mission Banquet 2010: A Banquet of Love

Bookmark and Share  |   |

It was a “Banquet of Love” which was celebrated on the eve of World Mission Sunday, an important date for missionaries worldwide. The Xaverians at Xavier Knoll, through the skill of the Advisory Board members, organized the Mission Banquet on Oct. 22, 2010 at the Italian Community Center in Milwaukee (see photos below), attended by some 300+ friends and benefactors of the Xaverian Missionaries, who come to reflect and share their resources for the mission of the church entrusted to the Xaverians the world over.
Activities of the evening included silent and oral auction, raffle, key treasure chest, the entertaining game of “Heads and Tails,” a delicious dinner accompanied with hors d’oeuvres. As usual, everyone had a great time, showing their friendship and support of the missions.
The Art VanderHeyden Mission Award was presented to a good friend and Advisory Board member, Eugene Kaluzny for his outstanding friendship, dedication and contribution to the mission cause and to Xavier Knoll.
Our sincere thanks to all the contributors, underwriters, advertisers of the program booklet, banquet auction donors, and the many who have contributed with their time and efforts in making this year’s mission banquet a success.
