You are Here
Jesus, you are here.
I feel it.
With you I am okay.
I do not need to explain anything.
You see me.
Like the great sun shining on me,
You, Jesus, are here.
I feel a great peace all around me
and inside of me.
Nothing can make me sad.
All fears are gone.
You are here and I feel peace.
You are here, my friend Jesus.
You are here!

Prayer for Missionaries
I pray, o Lord,
That you send workers in your vineyard,
So that they go to peoples who still do not know you
And bring their experience of the living and true god
So that your word may come true:
“Go and preach all Nations.”
O God, I also pray
That missionaries of your Word
May go to places where terror and greed abound.
May these missionaries teach the love of neighbor.
O God, I thank you,
For the presence of missionaries in our land
Who share your Word,
So that we can know better You,
The God of Love. Amen.
Freely
Who remembers, Lord,
of your friendly signs
when you broke bread
on the evening of Emmaus?
Still shines your sky
as it shined on the Christmas night
and the sun in Galilee
as it is still sweet on your evenings;
the breeze is fresh
like the serene folds of your cloak.
What has been, what will be,
enlivens our hearts
the irresistible appeal
of the thing you have promised.
The earth will be reborn
with your cry of love
shaken through the centuries
over an immense crowd.
We dream of an Easter,
of banquets and wedding dinners
where the lamb, the fish and the wine,
move freely around the table.
(Haiti - Camille Rousseau)
Pieces of Fresh Bread
I wish we could knock at every door
And ask from every one.
Then, let’s visit with all the poor,
And crying, give them all a piece of fresh
bread,
And go through the vineyards of the rich
With those two holy hands
Which, in a sudden bright array,
Fly nail-free from the cross…
(Peru - Cesar Vallejo)
