In October of 2011, on World Mission Sunday, our founder, Blessed
Guido Conforti will be made a new missionary saint for the church.
Why is that a big deal? Conforti's canonization is new evidence in
the life of this great bishop for everyone about how important the
global outreach of the church is, sharing the compassion of Christ
across faith and culture boundaries. We hope the following stories
inspire you to see yourself as a global Catholic!
Thank you all for your participation in our July survey. Your
answers and insights will help us make No Borders meet your needs
and keep us connected.
Summer Blessings!

It was indeed an "interesting challenge" for me. I had to learn how to be a pastor of a Christian community, trying to encourage each member of the parish to take on responsibilities towards the parish so that it might become a "family" to everyone, going beyond borders. Cornu-Thénard and some of his friends in youth ministry decided to organize a youth festival that would serve as a tool for evangelization. The goal was simple: talk to an as many people as possible about God's love for them. Find out more...
August this year marks the Muslim month of fasting, Ramadan. Read
about a young Catholic's experience in fasting last year
here.
...Jordan was fasting for Ramadan, the ninth month in the Islamic

But Jordan isn't Muslim; she's Catholic. She chose to fast with her
Muslim friend, Dahlia Bazzaz. This month-long sacrifice wasn't just a
heavy mental and physical challenge -- it was also a time in which
Jordan's global perspective expanded.
